What is Gopchang Gim?
Gopchang Gim is a premium variety of Korean seaweed that originates from winter-grown, thick seaweed harvested in the nutrient-rich waters of Korea’s southern coast.
As it dries, the seaweed naturally curls—resembling “gopchang,” or intestines—giving the product its name.
Compared to regular seaweed, Gopchang Gim is richer in flavor, thicker in texture, and far crispier, making it highly valued for both home meals and professional kitchens.
